Can this whale bath toy be used in the pool or outdoors water play?

Yes, you can play wherever there is water. This cute whale water spray toy is really interesting and can be used in the bathtub, swimming pool, and shower.

Is the battery compartment safe in the water?

No worry about that, just need to make sure screwed back on nice and tight, then keep the battery compartment dry with a towel after using it.

Can this whale bath toy be used in salt water ?

Sure it could, make sure the back of the bath toy is sealed tightly. And it's better rinse it with fresh water after using.

How do you clean the inside?

You can wipe the bath toy with a cloth then air dry it after using.
If you really want to clean inside, then unscrew the screws to open inside, you'd better use a cotton swab or other small things.
Be careful while you open to clean inside, or the bath toy will be damaged.

We've had two of these toys and they only last 1-2 baths before they stop working completely. Is there a trick?

Maybe you're getting defective ones? We've used ours probably 6 times and it's still working. Just used it last night and no problems.
